Help Little Tsu get into Google Play

Little Tsu — Japanese from kana to JLPT N1 — is coming to Android. Google only lets new apps into Play after a closed test: at least 12 people need to use it for 14 days. Be one of them and get the app before everyone else.

How to join

  1. 1
    Join the testers group

    Tap the button above and join the Google Group with the same Google account you use on your Android phone. It's just an access list — no newsletters.

    Become a tester on Google Play

    Open the testing link and tap “Become a tester”. Access may take a few minutes to kick in.

    The link will appear here as soon as the test starts — and we'll send it to everyone in the group.

    Install Little Tsu from Google Play

    The app will then show up on Google Play — install it as usual. Updates arrive automatically.

    Use it for 14 days and tell us what's off

    Open the app at least a few times a week and keep it installed until the test ends — otherwise Google doesn't count you as a tester. Found a bug or something awkward? Let us know.

FAQ

Is it free?

Yes. Testing costs nothing, and kana and level N5 stay free after launch too.

I have an iPhone — can I join?

Not yet: only Android is being tested right now; the iPhone version comes later. Little Tsu already works in the browser on any device.

What data of mine do you see?

Only your Google account address in the group list — it's needed to grant access on Google Play. Your learning progress stays on your phone (or in your Little Tsu account, if you create one).

What if I change my mind?

You can leave the test and the group at any time from the testing page on Google Play. We only ask you to stay for 14 days if you can — that's what Google requires.
